Mulhall, a bartender from the famed Hoffman House, recounted a story that “The Manhattan cocktail was invented by a man named Black, who kept a place ten doors below Houston Street on Broadway in the 1860s”.

However the story goes, rye is the perfect base for the Manhattan. This kit provides you with everything you need to make a distinctly Australian version of the New York classic. It contains:

Pinot Noir Vermouth is made in collaboration with local urban winery Noisy Ritual. A robust barrel-rested vermouth, it complements The Gospel Rye Whiskey while highlighting the purity of the Noisy Ritual Pinot Noir fruit. It’s aromatic with density of fruit and a balance of bitterness on the palate.

A twist on traditional bitters, our Whiskey Bitters steeps orange peel, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, vanilla, star anise and other botanicals in The Gospel Solera Rye, allowing it to enhance our rye whiskey instead of diluting it. Perfect companion in an Old Fashioned and other whiskey-forward cocktails.
